Jenkins Barber shop
was founded by Nacy Jenkins in 1910.The barber shop
was in Griffin, Ga. it had 8 chairs. It later
moved to Bolton Road area, then in the 1960's
Copeland Jenkins, Nacy's son moved it to Mableton.
The barber shop is still opened in Mableton where
you always find Copeland. Mike the son of Copeland
has now opened 3 more Barber shops, two are in
Douglasville and the other one in Villa Rica. Things
have not changed all that much since 1910, which is
the kind of refreshing to see. Patrons still come in
, sit down in a chair, grab a magazine, and gat a
haircut and a straight razor shave, topped off with
steaming towels, hot leather, and a splash of after
shave. Many of our customers remember coming to
Jenkins Barber Shop as kids, so it's a family
tradition for our for our customers, as well as our
family. It's often heard as a father tells their
son, I got my first hair cut at Jenkins Barber Shop,
just sit still and let them cut your hair! All of
the barbers are continually trained in current as
well as old-fashioned styles. Customers of Jenkins
Barber Shop range from the in age from six months to
98 years old.
